About us
Since reopening in 2023, The Commercial Hotel Merredin—locally known as “The Commie”—has made a name for itself as the community’s favourite place to go for a family-friendly night out. Beautifully refurbished, and with more improvements to come, The Commie feels fresh and inviting while maintaining its historical charm and character.
We have an exciting menu that’s refreshed weekly, as well as daily lunch specials served Wednesday to Sunday. We also have multiple spaces so you can find just the right atmosphere for your outing. For something upbeat, try the bar, the first dining room, or our beer garden. The second dining room or the family area are quieter and more laid back. For something more private, try the “red room”.
